A wonderful place with clean, tidy rooms and a very good common area. The amenities include a fridge, microwave, and laundry. It’s near lots of bus stops, and the staff are very friendly. The man at reception was kind and caring, always trying to help however he could. They also have female-only dorm rooms for solo female travelers.
Good value for the money. The place was clean, the beds were comfortable, and the dorm beds had curtains. It’s in the nightlife district, but that wasn’t an issue for me as a solo female traveler. The streets are lit, though after 11 pm I chose to take a cab or taxi back to the lodge. That wasn’t because I thought it was dangerous after 11, I just felt more comfortable in a cab.
A good affordable option for backpackers. It’s in the Red district, but the place felt safe even at night. The owner is also the receptionist and looks after requests when you check in. The WiFi was surprisingly fast, and there’s a bus stop nearby, so getting around isn’t a problem. I’ll definitely consider staying here again when I go back to Singapore.
Albert and the owner, Richard, are both so welcoming and accommodating. This was my second stay, in December 2017, and I felt just as at home as the first time. It's the best hostel I've stayed at outside the Philippines, and I'd gladly recommend it to anyone wanting a home away from home. I hope to stay here again when I'm back in Singapore.
They were kind enough to let me drop my bags off early and collect them late. Just keep in mind there are five floors and no elevator. The dorms were okay, but outside them it wasn't especially clean, and there were lots of ants. It's close to plenty of bus stops, though the bars right next door made the area feel sketchy at night. The AC display said 20, but the room felt closer to 24.
