The main issue during our stay was an uncomfortable sight for my mother-in-law and our helper: a few guests in other rooms were showering naked in full view of their main windows. The hotel could remind guests to draw their bathroom blinds or curtains so they’re considerate of other people’s privacy. Even so, it was a good stay. The room was clean, comfortable and well maintained, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Jeremy at check-in deserves a special mention for being attentive, offering great assistance and thoughtful suggestions that helped our family feel welcome and enjoy the visit.

That bathtub looking out over the city was a real treat, and the frosted-glass switch let us make the bathroom private from the bed area. We could also see into rooms across the building, though their privacy screens were up. The room felt clean, had a work desk with outlets, lamp, big drawers and an office chair, plus a drinkable-water tap, little fridge, kettle, coffee, milk and tea. There were soft robes and slippers too, and I appreciated having yogurt chilled for the morning. Getting there was easy: check-in was quick, and a subtle clean scent greeted us on the walk to the lobby. The shiny black-tiled passage to the lifts curved like a Harry Potter scene, so I half expected Voldemort or a basilisk to appear. Side windows gave a few good views of the control tower. There’s an ice machine by the lifts, useful in Singapore’s heat, as well as a gym, meeting rooms and massage chairs for a fee. The room was laid out with a tired traveler in mind and helped us recharge after a long flight. We felt a little sad checking out, though self-checkout was fast. This stop flowed so smoothly that it felt more like the vacation part of our trip than the destination itself. I’d want this comfort again on a long layover. Getting proper sleep while traveling makes such a difference to your mood, energy and the whole experience.

The room was spotless, with a huge bathtub, a spacious and comfortable bed, and a desk where I could get work done. We also loved the pool, with its bar beside it and plenty of places to sit. The location works especially well for an early flight, right by Terminal 3 and Jewell Shopping Centre. DYLIA made a lovely start to our stay. She was kind, friendly, and gave us great service. Everyone we met was welcoming, and the hotel was immaculate from arrival through checkout. I’ve never stayed anywhere as good as Crowne Plaza Changi Airport. It exceeded my expectations again, and I’d recommend it to my family and friends.

The pool was a dream in the evenings, a lovely way to cool off after the day, and breakfast was beautiful and delicious. We stayed two nights with our toddler, and the staff made us feel looked after from the start. They brought up a travel cot with a comfy toddler mattress and fresh fitted sheets, warmed milk for our child, and delivered our delayed luggage right to the door. The hotel is easy to find and very conveniently located inside the airport. We’d happily stay again on our next layover.
