Dream Chaser Boutique Capsule Hotel

I booked a private room for 4 nights and found it clean and tidy. The shared bathroom was clean and well maintained too. It felt more like a premium hotel than a hostel, with a pleasant stay overall. The location is strategic, close to the city center and other popular areas.

The bathrooms were the letdown. Shower stalls had nowhere to change, people regularly left clothes or towels in them, and the drains were slow. The toilet stalls were okay, though cramped enough that closing the door took some manoeuvring. I stayed in the 8-bed dorm, which felt quite pricey, similar to nice European hostels where I've stayed in rooms with fewer beds. The room was nicely done, the bed comfortable, and the towel included was appreciated, though expected at that price. There was ample under-bed storage and a small locker, but it only locked with the keycard, which I don't prefer. The privacy curtain blocked light well, useful since the light seemed to be on all the time for some reason. Nearby food options are good, but for transport the hostel sits in a bit of a no-man's land between several MRT options.

The female shared pod room and bathroom were very clean, and the capsule had everything I needed, including beds and duvets that felt hotel quality. The other women sharing the pod were quiet, private and respectful. Staff were great and kept my luggage for free until my room was ready. I had an 18hr daytime layover and needed somewhere to shower and nap in the afternoon and evening before a late night flight. This was perfect. One small drawback: the window doesn't block sound well, and the nearby mosque's call to prayer was quite loud along with some construction noise, so bring ear plugs.

The lobby has a beautiful, aesthetic design, and everything was perfect for me. The staff were kind and helpful, and knew malay, chinese and english. My room was so clean and had a really pleasant fragrance that made me feel calm. The bathroom was clean and comfortable to use as well. There are lots of halal restaurants nearby and the location is great for attractions. I'd come back if I visit Singapore again.
