Hotel YAN

The location is the main plus, with plenty of food stalls and cafés nearby. But Hotel Yan’s building and exterior didn’t look clean or well kept. In the king room, the windows were so bad that opening the curtains meant other guests could see in. There was a hole in the bedsheet, and one pillow had a different cover. It all felt like a lack of attention to detail. I stayed at Hotel Yan a year ago and it was very good and clean, but this time it was really poor. There are other hotels nearby in better condition for almost the same price, so think it over if you want a cozy stay.

All the front desk staff were kind and helpful. My loft room worked well for getting some work done, thanks to a useful desk, though its light could be brighter. I’d been a little concerned after reading reviews, but everything was fine. The A/C beside the bed has adjustable airflow, the fridge works, and slippers are provided. You can borrow a hair dryer too. It was a very good stay.

The staff have been so kind, and the accommodation and service have both been 10/10. I’m four days into my stay at Hotel Yan while in Singapore for my brother’s wedding. The location is perfect for a tourist like me, and so far it’s been fantastic. I can’t recommend it enough.

It’s a handy spot for a short stay, in Little India and just a few MRT stops from the city centre. The room is quite small, but the bed is very comfortable. They provide useful basics like a toothbrush, shaving kit, shampoo, and water.
