Aini at the front desk was lovely and helped with my request. It was one of the better staff interactions I've had, and the lobby staff helping with luggage were good too. The location is central, with shops, malls, the MRT, and eateries nearby. Chinatown is also within walking distance. The room and amenities were decent, though I wouldn't call them five-star compared with other hotels in SE Asia. It was probably a bit pricey, but the location is convenient. The AC sensor was a problem for me. It shuts the system off when it doesn't detect movement, which can be annoying in the middle of the night. You can wake up sweating, and unless you get up for the bathroom or a drink of water, it can be uncomfortable. Some facilities looked dated, including the pool, and the gym was smallish. I guess most people might not use them in SG. My room was okay, and I was upgraded to a slightly larger one that was comfortable enough for two.

The Crystal Club access was a real treat, with breakfast, tea time, and evening cocktails and bites. The rooftop pool was a lovely spot to unwind as well. Our rooms were comfortable and beautifully designed, just right for resting after a busy day. Everything felt considered and elegant without being overdone. Staff were genuinely kind, attentive, and professional throughout, and that made a difference. The hotel is right in the heart of Singapore, close to everything and easy to explore on foot, while still feeling calm and refined. It was an excellent, easy stay, and I'd absolutely return.☺️

I stayed for two nights in January 2026 and left underwhelmed, especially with a rate of approximately $500 per night. Staff seemed unfriendly and disengaged throughout. There were no smiles, and everyone appeared visibly tired, creating an unwelcoming feeling from check-in onward. The room's air conditioning was the biggest problem. I understand and support the hotel's environmental efforts, but the motion sensors were poorly implemented. On several occasions, even after being away for just 15 minutes, we came back to a hot, uncomfortable room because the system had switched off without detecting movement. It was worse at night. The AC repeatedly turned off while we were in bed trying to sleep, apparently because the sensors didn't register our small movements. The stifling room badly disrupted our sleep, and it was one of the most uncomfortable hotel nights I've had. When we raised it with reception, the response was confusion instead of a fix. The staff member seemed surprised that guests would expect continuous cooling while asleep, which felt dismissive of a basic comfort need. At this price point in Singapore, higher-rated hotels offer reliable climate control and more attentive service. I regret that better options are easy to find, and I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone looking for consistent comfort and value.

The rooftop terrace and pool were nice, though the pool got crowded and the bar was never open during the day when we visited. The location was great, but the rooms were small compared with other 5-star hotels we've stayed in, so I wouldn't recommend this hotel and would look elsewhere. Our family room felt far too cramped. Once the sofa bed was pulled out and four suitcases were in the room, there was practically no floor space. In my opinion, it wasn't suitable for a family. Breakfast was very average for a supposedly 5-star hotel, with fewer buffet options than at hotels we'd visited before. The concierge staff were polite and helpful, but reception felt awkward. During the ten minutes we were checking in, the receptionist only spoke to welcome us and direct us to our room. We were also charged for local calls, which I found outrageous since two other hotels I'd stayed in provided them free.
