Thanksgiving Serviced Residence

The apartment was bright, spacious, clean, and had lots of closet space. Orchard Road was only a 10-minute walk away, and the service was great. Our fridge was broken when we arrived, but the receptionist came up right away to check it, and a new one was installed within a few hours. The kitchen was poorly stocked, with no plates, only four glasses, and very little cutlery or cooking gear. There was also a strong damp, moldy smell. An air purifier was running at its highest setting, and we had to air the place out every day to keep the smell down. That took away from the stay. We enjoyed our eight days, but management needs to fix the humidity and properly equip the kitchen.

Being able to leave my luggage after checkout and take a shower before a late flight was a real help. The location worked well too, with three different metro stations a convenient 10-15 minute walk away. The building also has an outdoor smoking area and a pool. The pool water was pretty cold, but it was still a nice way to start the morning. We really enjoyed our stay. It was a practical, comfortable choice, and I'd gladly stay here again.

If management fixes the humidity problem and stocks the kitchen, this could easily be a five-star place.

My daughter was devastated after her stuffed animal disappeared. She had spent her only money on it as a keepsake from our nine-month trip around the world, and her eye mask was missing too. She cried herself to sleep. We searched for my wife's rings for 20 minutes before finding them rolled behind the bed, and other belongings had been pushed behind curtains. This happened after staff entered our room without notice or permission on the night before we left, outside the scheduled cleaning time. The property says housekeeping only happens every four days, and it doesn't provide “Do Not Disturb” signs. Our things were moved around and some were lost. The front desk didn't respond when we raised it. There was no apology or empathy for my daughter. The lack of security and the staff's stonewalling were unacceptable. Don't stay here if you care about your privacy or belongings.
