Frasers House, a Luxury Collection Hotel

A lovely one-night staycay, with a good atmosphere and great service from the staff. Henry in the lounge went out of his way to find oat milk. Our room was spacious and clean, and the well-kept gym had a good range of equipment. Bugis is a great location, with plenty of places to eat nearby. For parking, ask about the $25 front parking, since the basement carpark belongs to Bugis Junction. One small letdown was the bottled water selection, which made the stay feel a little less premium.

I was unsure about the high room rate, especially since the hotel is older, but it lived up to its reputation as a Luxury Collection hotel. The room was immaculate, including under the couch and bed, and the elevators were always quick. The location was handy for buses, Bugis station, shops, restaurants, hawker markets, and cheaper shopping. The Executive Lounge was among the best I’ve visited, with lots of space, lovely furnishings, delicious premium food and drinks, TWG tea, and cocktails made to order. Service was incredible too. Mr Harry from the Executive Lounge, Ms Judy the Hotel Manager, Mr Kenny from the Executive Lounge, and Ms Sheryl from AYS were welcoming, friendly, and passionate about their work. My one bad interaction was with a male team member in a suit in the Lobby Lounge, whom I think was the manager, at lunchtime on 9 May. The hotel had hundreds of last-minute new bookings after a Disney Cruise cancellation, which tested the team’s ability to keep service high during heavy occupancy. Everyone else I met stayed cheerful, but this man was rude and made me feel like being a guest was a burden.

The staff were warm and helpful, and breakfast had a surprisingly broad selection, especially for anyone who likes Indian food. The Byredo shower gel, shampoo, and lotion were the one reason I held back a star. Their heavy tobacco and leather cologne scent clung to my skin and clothes. I enjoy wine and subtle aromas, and the fragrance even spoiled my palate for the rest of the trip and stayed with me on the whole flight home. It’s not really a complaint about the hotel itself, but that Byredo product line was a 1/10 for me. Please consider changing it.

Luce buffet was sensational, and the location made it easy to walk to all the major attractions. The rooms, lobby, and amenities were top class, and the service was superior. I had a wonderful stay at Fraser’s House and couldn’t fault it. I highly recommend it and won’t stay anywhere else on future trips.
