The front desk staff are really friendly and give advice to suit the occasion. It's a good option for a transit stop or staycation, with decent, spacious rooms and smoking rooms available. Be ready to use the stairs. There's a bus stop nearby, plus a 24-hour Indian Muslim restaurant and a convenience store right next door. Call ahead to book so you aren't disappointed.

This is basic, livable accommodation for people on a budget or staying briefly. It's easy to get to Whampoa hawker centre, and a 23 hours Indian Muslim food stall is just a short walk away. Expect to share the hotel with mostly Malaysian nationals who were staying there during the Covid period. Cheap and no frills.

Hoover Hotel is an old-school building, with rooms available by the hour at a super cheap rate. It only takes cash, not even NETS, and the price stays at $20 SGD whether you book for an hour or two. Don't expect much at that price. The toilet barely fits one person, TV is mostly local channels with just one HBO channel, and there are only three floors with no lift. For an overnight stay, nearby reputable hotels sometimes offer the same price range with a more comfortable experience.

It's a very old, dirty place, and people sitting outside give you dirty looks, which feels creepy and uncomfortable. My wife wouldn't leave the room unless I went with her.
