Hotel Calmo Bugis

We stayed four people in room 201. It was spacious, had a decent view, and the location put us close to stalls, restaurants, the MRT, and attractions. That space and convenience are why I wouldn't rate it lower. There were plenty of problems, though: dirty pillows, ants and bugs, a TV that needed an adaptor, no laundry service, and slow room service. And that's not the whole list. The staff made this stay memorable. They were attentive throughout and seemed to anticipate what I needed, which gave the place a personal feel. I was welcomed by name, and check-in was effortless. My room was pristine and beautifully designed, with plush bedding and high-end amenities. Dining was just as impressive, with creative dishes and a carefully chosen wine list. My recent stay at Hotel Calmo Bugis felt luxurious from arrival to departure, and I can't recommend it enough.

I chose to give up the two rooms I'd booked rather than stay. For this price, you could easily find a four-star hotel with better service, and I wouldn't recommend this one at all. The location is great, but the rooms and staff weren't. In all my years staying in hotels around the world, especially in Singapore, I've rarely felt I had to leave such a bad review. Nabeelah's attitude was particularly poor.

The hot water in our room didn't work, and the staff weren't friendly. We were there for the F1 race, and the location was perfect, but that's all I can recommend. There are many other options nearby, and this place offers little else. They still haven't returned our mandatory deposit, even though it's been over a month. They simply don't refund it, as far as I can tell.
