Hotel Classic by Venue

We only had one night here, but it became a very happy and memorable trip. It was my first time flying to Singapore and my first concert at the Indoor Stadium on Jan 17. I was thrilled to see my favorite artist, and the hotel stay made the visit even better. A big thank you to all the staff for welcoming me with smiles and warmth. Wee deserves a special mention for being so helpful and easy to talk to. Wee gave me advice about getting around Singapore and how to reach the Indoor Stadium. The other staff were kind too. They greeted me warmly when I came back from the concert, and said goodbye with kind words when I checked out the next morning. My friend and I shared a deluxe twin room. It was small but comfortable, not cramped for two, and very clean, with the necessary amenities and strong Wi-Fi. Compact, and worth the price. The hotel is about a 10-minute walk from Paya Lebar MRT. The area felt safe, with PLQ Mall, PLQ Square, and lots of restaurants nearby. For concerts at the Indoor Stadium or National Stadium, take the MRT from Paya Lebar to Stadium, just three stops. A taxi or Grab takes around 12-15 minutes. You can also take the East-west line from the airport straight to Paya Lebar, then walk to the hotel. That takes around 40-45 minutes. If I get to visit Singapore again, I'll definitely stay at this hotel.

Paya Lebar MRT is just a few minutes away on foot, with plenty of places to eat nearby. The hotel also sits right opposite Geylang Serai Market and the community centre. I stayed two nights last week, and the small room was clean (I think Toh cleaned it) and worked fine for two people. Most of the reception team, especially Wee and Alp, were warm and welcoming. One woman looked at us oddly when we came back in, as if she wasn't sure we were staying there or had checked in, which was awkward. I also wished It's a solid option, and I'd come back on my next Singapore trip.

The room was on the small side, the only thing keeping this from an A rating. Still, this was my second stay, and for the price and everything else, I'd give it an A+. The staff are helpful and friendly, the room and shower are clean, and hallway noise is barely noticeable. Bus stops and a subway station are close by, along with restaurants, hawker centers, and a shopping mall within an easy walk.

The staff were the best part for me. They were kind and helpful, and having people available around the clock was reassuring. The neighborhood felt safe, and the hotel and rooms were clean. The air conditioning worked, though the halls were colder than the rooms ever got. There's plenty of transport nearby, with an MRT station and bus routes running all over the island. Good food courts and hawker centers are a short walk or bus ride away. The downsides were thin walls, small rooms with an odd layout, and plugs that weren't always easy to reach. For the room size and design, I thought it was a little overpriced, but the positives outweighed the negatives.
