Rendezvous Hotel Singapore by Far East Hospitality

The staff really made this stay for us. We arrived early after Emirates lost our luggage, and had only planned to leave our bags at the hotel before seeing the city. The young man at reception, whose name I didn't catch, kindly helped us get into our room earlier than expected. That made a huge difference with our infant son. Everyone else was lovely too. The restaurant staff chatted with our son and kept him entertained, and the cleaning lady on Level 8 was always kind and made a fuss of him. Pahheer at the door was a pleasure to talk to and always greeted us with a smile, taking a real interest in us and our child. Rendezvous Hotel Singapore was clean and tidy, with great facilities and a brilliant location. We'd definitely choose it again if we return to Singapore. Highly recommended.

Shalini at the Front Desk was one of the best front line staff members I've met in more than three decades of travel. She was professional, well trained, pleasant, and accommodating, with a calm and attentive manner. I'd come back to Rendezvous HTL just to have that experience again. The Concierge was prompt and efficient too, and everything I requested was provided. We had one of our best four to five star stays at Rendezvous HTL SG in Bras Basah SG. The upgraded suite was more than we expected. It was well stocked and clean, including the bathtub, shower, and WC area. Walking in to find two towel swans with “rose petals” was a lovely extra on top of an already good first impression. I've lived and travelled across many countries and states, mostly in the western hemisphere, including NYC/CA/Miami/RI/Chicago/Seattle/FL/Key West/Maui/Vegas/Buffalo/Syracuse/Boston/NJ/San Francisco/Colorado/London/Perth/Melbourne/Sydney/Sweden/JKT, and now back in SG. A five star stay and hotel. Kudos to the management and hospitality team for having such a great staff. Keep up the good work!

We had a lovely three day stay before our cruise. The rooms were lovely and the service faultless. The “Tube” station is right outside, making it easy to get around this fabulous city. Highly recommended.

The location is amazing: Bencoolen MRT is right there, there's a bus stop outside, and Dhoby Ghaut station is only a few minutes away on foot. Almost everywhere is walkable. The heritage facade is beautiful, and the hotel is comfortable, with friendly, helpful staff, though it's not a slick modern property. The pool area is pretty good too. My room was a good size, clean, and had a welcome Nespresso machine. A small cup for the espresso machine would have been useful. I was on the executive floor, where the hall carpet was very worn, although the carpet in my room was newer. I also would have liked an easy chair, as rooms on the non-executive floors have one. The executive lounge was one of the poorer club experiences I've had. Food options were limited and repetitive, and they weren't replenished. Tables weren't cleaned often, service was uneven, and while the executive floor staff were generally helpful, one was quite officious. After staying on that floor, I'd expect to be recognized and remembered instead of treated like a stranger whose identity needs confirming. Room servicing was inconsistent, sometimes very good and sometimes minimal. Like other Singapore hotels, they encourage guests to drink tap water and provide a glass carafe, which makes filling the kettle easier. For sustainability, separate recycling bins and a complimentary branded reusable bottle for all guests would be good additions.
