Hotel Fuji

This is a cheaper hotel in Geylang, the red light district, and it felt very real. I heard no noise at all, and it was very quiet and nice. The night before, I stayed at Shangri-La for $1,400 and could hear Americans sneezing and making noise with their kids. I'd take this place over that. If you want to learn about the local culture, stay in Geylang and talk to street vendors and other people. Could be fun. There's free WiFi with the room, like most places. If you don't have a SGsim, there are lots of places 50 steps away selling 400GB for $15, not bad. You can find everything you need here for a real price, with no gatekeepers or paywalls like the (t) islands. Check the real SGlife. Why does everyone complain about there being no elevator? I'm on the top floor, I barely exercise, and I'm not complaining. Maybe exercise would be good for you for once, if you're not too busy. I was checking reviews. Yes, the night guy doesn't speak English. You should expect that in Singapore, but don't worry: there's a brand new app called “Google Translate” that can talk for you in any language. Amazing in 2025! Apparently other reviewers are idiots. Edit 3: It still holds up. I'm leaving tomorrow and will add more pictures later. Saving this for any edits after I leave. If this is still here, I didn't pay extra charges. I clean my own room. I'm not an animal, it's easy.

The customer service was so aggressive that I felt intimidated and reluctant to speak. It came across as confrontational, almost as if we were arguing.

Loved staying here. Geylang is the perfect place for me, and I couldn't ask for anything better.

Our room was just right for two people, with a really comfortable bed. The staff were friendly and helpful too. We had a great short stay while visiting Singapore, and the price suited the location. Trains made it easy to get to and from the airport and Marina Bay. Looking forward to visiting again.
