The Singapore EDITION

Breakfast was delicious, beautifully presented and excellent quality, just right to start each day. The staff were warm, attentive and genuinely friendly without making it feel forced. Cedric from Belgium and Robert from Australia deserve a special mention. They were so welcoming and engaging, and sharing travel stories with them was a pleasure. Those conversations make a stay memorable beyond the hotel's physical spaces. We've been lucky enough to stay at several Edition properties around the world, and this one again exceeded our expectations. We keep being impressed by the brand's minimalist yet impeccable interiors: refined, elegant and sophisticated without feeling excessive, with every detail carefully chosen. Benjamin at the front desk made a real difference for us. He was so helpful and shared excellent ideas for our trip, and the service overall was on par with what we found elsewhere in Singapore. The Singapore EDITION is right in the city center, with brand-new fixtures and beautifully styled, modern rooms. The rooms do feel a bit boxed in, though. The hotel sits on the lower floors of a residential complex, so even a “Garden View” looks out toward towers and nearby buildings rather than an open vista. Breakfast is a semi-buffet, with two picks from an à la carte menu that leans heavily Western. Visitors hoping for a taste of Singaporean breakfast may find the options disappointing. We had just stayed at The Ritz-Carlton, and that comparison shaped my 4-star rating. Service was equally excellent at both, but The Ritz-Carlton did much better on views and authentic food, which suited us as tourists.

The pool had a vibe of its own, and breakfast was a nice change from a buffet. You order à la carte, the portions are just right, and everything we tried was delicious. I also loved the spa. Jabez looked after us, and his friendly way of communicating made it all feel easy. The sauna added to the relaxation. The room was cozy and luxurious, with a clean, modern design. The smart TV was great, the bed was so comfortable I was out as soon as I lay down 😂, and I loved the toilet bidet too. From arrival onward, Adrian, Norman, and Maung from the Bell team were a huge help. Si Ting and Sheena at Reception were warm and attentive, and Sheena checked me in. A serene, stylish staycation spot with a really good team.

Dinner at FYSH was fantastic, especially the steak, and Joe kindly accommodated us. We also had a little tour downstairs from Shahyam at Punch Room while exploring the hotel. Izan, the Reception Manager, gave us a warm, friendly checkout. We spent 3 nights at The Singapore EDITION, and Dickson, the Assistant Guest Relations Manager, made it extra special by upgrading our room and arranging an in-room fruit basket to suit our dietary requirements. The room was very spacious, and the water pressure and amenities were better than expected. Pool, gym, and spa were all impeccable. Housekeeping were consistently polite and generous with extra water, and whenever we called the front desk at odd hours, staff were courteous and accommodating. We felt very well looked after and will be back.
