RedDoorz Hotel @ Geylang (SG Clean Certified)

If you’re only sleeping there and spending the day out, it’s sufficient. The connection to the city is decent, and it’s relatively clean for the cheapest option in Singapore. But there’s no service, the area isn’t especially nice, and I couldn’t imagine staying for long.

It’s close to food places and hotels, with bus stops about 250 meters away and the metro roughly 800 meters away. I had a peaceful four-day stay, and the rooms are a decent size with well-maintained washrooms. For an affordable stay in Singapore, I’d consider it again. The receptionist could be a little warmer. I also wished there were a table and chair to put my bags on, and the TV was in an odd spot.

If you’re not fussy and just need somewhere affordable, this place might be okay. The room is basic, with a bed that fits two, but the design is below average and there’s little else to it. The toilet is simple too. The small TV sits on a little table in the corner, and the headlight kept flickering. I wouldn’t recommend it if comfort matters to you in Singapore.

The rooms were disgusting, with mold all over the walls. The WiFi was weak, and when we explained that we needed internet to book a flight, nobody helped or seemed to care. The staff weren’t helpful or flexible either. We asked for coffee in the morning before checkout and were told we could only have it after cleaning, which made no sense. The location also seemed like one of the worst in Singapore. Never again.
