For a budget stay in Chinatown, this is a good option. The room was clean, though small as other guests have mentioned, and the location is good. Staff were friendly and spoke good English. Breakfast is included, with cereal, eggs, sausage, toast, fruit juice, tea and coffee. It’s not a full buffet like you’d get at a major hotel, but it wasn’t bad. Noise was the main downside. Families came and went at night, with kids running around, and I had to deal with one particularly noisy situation because it was unacceptable.

For the price, I think it’s a decent basic hotel and I might come back. It’s in a pretty good location, and the hotel itself isn’t too noisy. But it’s a three-storey shophouse, so there is some noise, and bringing earplugs would be a good idea. I could hear the garbage truck collecting bins after 1 am.

I spent four nights here and was quite happy with the stay. The Deluxe Queen room was nice, had a window view and felt spacious for Singapore, at around 20m2. The basics were there: air conditioning, kettle, hair dryer, coffee and tea, plus a shower cap, towels and toiletries in the bathroom. The staff were lovely and available 24/24. The location worked well for me, near both Outram Park and Chinatown MRT, and Keong Saik road has plenty of restaurants and bars for a night out. The one downside is the trash collection point opposite the hotel. The garbage truck comes around 1-2 am and makes a lot of noise for about 15 minutes, so light sleepers should keep that in mind. It isn’t the hotel’s fault. I’d consider staying here again.

This isn’t a luxury hotel, but it should do if you’re watching your budget. The rooms and bathroom were clean and functional, and my room was spacious with a window overlooking the street. I stayed for three days after my friend couldn’t make it to Singapore. There happened to be a movie shoot while I was there, which made it an interesting stay. Breakfast is served, though there are lots of restaurants nearby too. It’s close to the MRT and bus station, and Chinatown is within walking distance.

I had a lovely start to my Singapore trip here. The reception staff were really nice, and I had no complaints. My room was small but cleverly laid out, with everything I needed. It was an attic room with no window at eye level, though there were windows high up that let in light, and I loved the vibe. The TVs are smart, so you can watch Netflix. It’s cute, and I think you get what you pay for.
