The Warehouse Hotel, Singapore, a Member of Design Hotels

Jae and Anne made our evenings at the lobby bar especially good. Jae mixed some of the best cocktails we've had, and the pandan sour was my favorite. The drinks were creative, balanced and beautifully presented. With great music, a good crowd, easy conversation and a relaxed but refined feel, it was hard to leave. Jeffrey and Rakesh were the first to welcome us, with bright smiles and genuine warmth. They made us feel at home right away and reflected the hotel's thoughtful hospitality. Check-in was seamless, and the room had little details that showed real care for design and comfort. The Warehouse Hotel is an experience shaped by wonderful people. We can't wait to come back. Sheryl welcomed me when I arrived at The Warehouse Hotel and was easy to talk to. She showed me around the room and explained everything, which made settling in much easier. When I had a couple of requests during my few-night stay, she handled them smoothly and cheerfully. It felt genuine, not forced. The room was clean, comfortable and nicely designed, and I liked the hotel's relaxed, well-kept vibe. The other staff were friendly too. A good stay, and I'd consider coming back.

The restaurant and its staff deserve a special mention for making one of the most delicious meals of my trip. Try the Poppia when you're there :) This is a stylish little gem in a reclaimed old warehouse by the river. The interiors and hotel bar look great, the rooms are well decorated, and the service was fantastic. It's a bit of a walk to the popular Marina sights, though I personally don't mind.

Getting around is possible by bus or MRT, though I found Grab a better way to reach the hotel. I wish I'd picked somewhere else. I paid for an expensive room that I ended up using just to sleep, and I'd look elsewhere if I had the choice again. The place is stylish, but the design often seems to favor looks over how people actually use the room. On entering, it wasn't clear how to turn on the lights. The switch by the bed or kettle wasn't easy to find in the dark, so I had to use my phone light to locate it. For bathroom privacy, you have to wait for the automatic roller blind to come all the way down. A hotel with this design collection branding should have had automatic privacy settings on the glass. It felt like a cost-saving choice. The control is above the sink, which means someone with accessibility issues would have to reach over to press it, and the sliding door isn't easy to move either. The bathroom drawer is positioned against the disabled toilet bar, which seems like wasted space for everyone. There were just too many design and usability problems.
