Value Hotel Balestier

The bus stop is right in front, and the hotel is well located. Our room faced the main road, so the view outside was lovely, though its glass window couldn’t be opened. The room was clean, with an electric kettle, hair dryer, mugs, sugar, and tea and coffee mixes. Room service cleaned it daily, and the staff were really good. It was a good experience in Balestier, and I’d book here again on my next Singapore visit 😊

The front desk staff were super nice and helpful. The room was a decent size and mostly clean, although I found dust on the headboard and beside the fridge. The shower only gave cold or very cold water, even with the handle turned all the way to red, haha. There was a musty smell in the closet, and I spotted a bug. The location is handy for buses and food, with Whampoa food center just a short walk away.

Azmi was friendly and helpful when checking me in and updating my room cards. Ken at reception was kind enough to give me, as a loyal hotel guest, a spacious room that could fit my many suitcases. A very pleasant stay 👍

The location is convenient, with the metro nearby and a bus stop right outside. Since we were traveling with a baby, having both a kettle and fridge in the room was helpful. It’s a cheap option with the basic amenities and cleanliness you’d expect. Just be aware the rooms are extremely cramped, even for two people, with barely any space to walk around the bed. The washroom is so small that taking a shower gets the toilet wet. As the name suggests, it’s “value,” so don’t expect too much.
