Vichaus Serviced Apartment

The apartment kitchenette had everything needed to put together a homely meal. If you know your way around spices, you can make a grand dish during your stay. I was there for a week, and I'm truly humbled by the staff's efficiency and service. It makes me feel motivated to work in my own field to those high standards. Their generosity brought tears to my heart. I'd ordered kangaroo meat and venison from a shop to cook a feast at the apartment, but I wasn't there when it arrived. I asked reception to pay the delivery person and exchange the money for the meat. They handled it so professionally that the staff member I gave the money to at night had passed my message to the morning shift exactly as I'd discussed with the receptionist the night before. The location made it easy to get to food courts, malls and the East Coast, with dining and leisure nearby. The rent felt very affordable for the quality and location, so VicHaus is good value for short or long stays. The rooms were clean and well maintained, with a strong focus on hygiene that made me feel comfortable from arrival. Staff were another highlight: friendly, welcoming and attentive, whether answering questions or helping things run smoothly. Check-in and checkout were quick and straightforward, which saved time. A cracking stay, highly recommended.

The room was on the small side, but pristine and exactly as advertised. Staff were kind and friendly, and the quiet rooftop terrace was a lovely extra. The neighbourhood is amazing: Joo Chiat road is a two-minute walk one way, and five minutes the other way takes you to what may be the nicest waterfront park in the world, basically the Maldives in a city. I couldn't name all the restaurants and bars nearby, and barely managed to explore them. A very new Mrt station is only about a hundred metres away, so the location is unbelievably good. A truly fabulous stay.

We stayed for two weeks on the self serviced 5th floor. The apartment was great, with an excellent location close to restaurants and malls, and amazing service. Reception had complimentary coffee and snacks, plus katong. The pool is tucked away but there for a quick cool off, and the rooftop is great for hanging out, eating or relaxing. Laundry is available for $8 per wash. The beach is a 15-minute walk, or you can grab a rental bike. An ideal place to stay.
