We loved our stay. The room upstairs was very nice, and the shared kitchen and bathroom were kept really clean. It’s about a 15-minute walk to Vintgar Schlucht and 20 minutes to the lake, though there’s a 200m climb to keep in mind.

The house has a strange layout, with the toilet outside the rooms, and it’s much too far from the lake. Our room was beside a main road, so the noise kept me from sleeping much during all three nights. The room was cleaned every day, which surprised us since we’d left our things spread around and hadn’t been told that would happen. The city tax also wasn’t included in the price and had to be paid on arrival. When we asked about the bus to the lake, the owner’s husband had little to no information.
