Koca Ojstrica - Velika planina

Rok's kindness made our snowy stay on Velika Planina unforgettable. When our car ran into trouble, he stepped in straight away and helped make sure we got home safely. He was so approachable from the start, even welcoming us with a homemade drink. The cozy cabin was warm and inviting, a lovely refuge from the winter cold. With the snow-covered landscape around us, the whole visit felt magical. We wholeheartedly recommend the cabin and Rok for a unique, heartfelt mountain getaway.

The view was great, but the property didn't seem ready for guests. There were no shelves or hooks in the bathroom, and nowhere to put our things in the bedroom. One bedroom is underground and the other is in the attic. The main thing is to be careful with the management, Roc. The day before check-in, they tried to move us to another property without a view. Be aware.

We had a great vacation in this large, clean, well-kept cottage. It may be better equipped than many homes. The homemade breakfast is GREAT, definitely order it. If you get cold easily, the stove warms the room quickly, and there's a sauna too. The cottage is just three minutes below the top of Velika planina, so it's worth giving up one morning to watch the sunrise. There are lots of hiking trails nearby, the chairlift is close, and the pub is only a few minutes away. The owner is extremely friendly, always willing to help and full of advice if you want it. A great experience, I recommend it!

We had the whole mountain to ourselves when we visited just after New Year. The cottage is incredible inside and keeps its original look on the outside. Rok was great to deal with, and even had wine ready for us because we arrived early. The farmers breakfast is a fantastic spread of homemade meat, cheese, bread, and yogurt. There's also a shop in the cottage with everything you might need, including beer, wine, champagne, and food. I really can't say enough about how pleasant it was. One of my favorite places in Slovenia.
