Hotel Cubis

We've been back several times over the past few years, and the standard has stayed consistent. This is a straightforward hotel that works well for travelers staying a night or two. At night there's no staffed reception, so you'll need to use the access code to get in. Breakfast is fine, though probably not something you'll remember; most people are likely heading out early anyway. The location may be debatable, but it suits us as a stop about 300 km into our westbound journey. When we set off in the afternoon, it makes for a good late-evening stopping point. Bella Venezia nearby serves very good food until 23 every evening apart from Monday.

There's plenty of care in the little details here. The hotel is small, modern, and clean, with nicely decorated rooms that are a reasonable size. Breakfast offered enough choice, and the food was good quality.

Everything was neat and clean, and the staff were nice. Our first room smelled a bit, but they helped us move when we asked. Breakfast was simple and good. There's no dinner at the hotel, but a short walk takes you to a nice Italian restaurant that welcomes dogs.

The location and just about everything else were great, and the staff provided good service. The room could have been cleaned more carefully, though, since hair from the previous guest was still in the bathroom.
