Double Tree by Hilton Ljubljana

The front desk woman who checked us in was friendly and helpful, and the rest of the staff were incredibly nice. They even had a little gift for our dog. The rooms were spacious and very clean, and breakfast was great. We had a great experience and would stay again!

The hotel is well maintained, in a very nice location, and the staff are friendly and helpful. The rooms are large and spacious. Breakfast could be richer, and the food should be labeled properly. There are too many staff around at breakfast, mostly doing nothing.

The lounge bar was terrible, with prices way too high. A beer is 7,5 EUR and a vodka shot 11,5 EUR. Come on, it's Ljubljana suburb. The rooms are very big, with the WC and bathroom separate, and the elevator is quick. Breakfast wasn't very good, though the fruit was fresh and tasty.

The staff were friendly, multilingual, and always ready to help. I saw one of them assist a nonverbal guest with a smile, which was really heartwarming. Service was top-notch, and the waiters cleared tables quickly. Breakfast had one of the biggest spreads I've seen, with lots of variety, though mostly the sweets changed each day. The coffee machine could be better. They made my wife a fresh omelette because the scrambled eggs had bacon. We booked a king bedroom at Austria Trend Hotel Ljubljana, and it was surprisingly spacious compared with other hotels I've stayed in. I liked having the toilet and bathroom separate, but the bathtub shower head was hollow in the middle and had no adjustable modes. A simple shower head would work much better. It's not right in the center, about a 30-minute walk to the bus station and 45 minutes to the center. There's a bus stop right outside, with two buses to the center every 15 minutes. Hotel parking is expensive, so check the price. I was very satisfied and would happily stay again, whether solo, as a couple, or with family. I look forward to trying Austria Trend hotels elsewhere.
