Dragons Dream Hostel

The location was good, with some useful places within walking distance. The reception staff were very attentive, and the welcome really improved our stay. Our rooms were extremely clean, well organized, and smelled very nice. The accommodation was very good, and the hostel is excellent.

I stayed in July 2025 and the air conditioning worked fine. The facilities were modern and clean, and there were plenty of buses into the city centre. I really enjoyed my stay!

I stayed in a double economy capsule, with a comfortable, roomy bed, clean linens, a tidy space, and plenty of room for my belongings. They provided two towels. The bathrooms were well maintained, and there was a small kitchen at reception for basic needs. Staff always replied quickly to my messages. Before booking, Marko promptly answered my questions and concerns, which gave me confidence. They also confirmed after booking that I could have the lower bunk I requested. It was my first time in this type of accommodation, and I had a very positive experience. Check-in is self-service by QR code, so there's no waiting at reception. You use the code to enter throughout your stay, which made me feel my belongings were secure without needing lockers. Public transport stops right outside, only a few stops from the city center. I'll definitely come back next time I'm in Ljubljana and will happily recommend it to friends. 🎉🇸🇮

The low price was tempting, but the stay was stressful and uncomfortable, and I wouldn’t return. Our two-person room was tiny, windowless, and felt more like a coffin than a room. The bunk bed left no space to sit upright, and we kept hitting our heads on the low ceiling. The room details also weren’t clear enough, which added to our worries about safety and comfort. Ventilation barely worked. The owner said it was fine, but within an hour the room had become unbearably hot. The bathrooms were just as difficult: badly designed showers flooded the floor, with no way to clean up afterward, and some toilets were completely clogged. We also had to ask for towels because none were provided at first. I get that the very low price might suit someone on a tight budget, but it wasn’t worth it for us. I can’t recommend Dragon Dream Hostel. I’d rather pay a little more for somewhere safe and comfortable.
