Hotel Čad

The hotel was very clean and comfortable, and it’s a great spot for relaxing or getting a night’s sleep in the forest, away from city noise. The bistro has more dishes to choose from than I expected. Service could be better, though, since not all the staff were welcoming. If you arrive really late, after the usual check-in hours, you might wait a bit at reception before someone shows up.

For this rate, this may be the best hotel my wife and I have ever stayed at. The rooms are spacious, comfortable, and nicely decorated, with big windows facing the forest. It’s in a wooded area close to the city centre, and the location makes the rooms extremely quiet. Breakfast was included downstairs at the bistro, and everything was à la carte. There was a wide choice of delicious things, from fresh orange juice and smoothies to light, healthy options, bread and jams, and all kinds of egg and meat dishes. A bus reaches Ljubljana city centre in a few minutes, or it’s a pleasant 2-3 km walk.

The portions were huge and the prices were great. Food ranged from very good to average; the pork skewers were a bit chewy and tough. The setting and atmosphere were great, with a large garden in the forest among the trees. It was crowded, but our orders came very quickly. I’d definitely go again.

The staff were warm and helpful, and the food was so tasty 😋. I also slept really well on the comfortable bed and pillows. The rooms felt cozy, the hotel was very well maintained, and it’s easy to walk around and take in the views. A really relaxing stay, I’d love to come back and recommend it to anyone.
