Kollmann Rooms and Apartments

Good location, and I still enjoyed my stay. The staff were excellent, and leaving our luggage was easy. There’s no lift, so getting a heavy suitcase from the ground floor up to the third is tough. Also, water escaped from the shower cubicle onto the bathroom floor whenever I showered.

Kollman is in an unassuming building that’s easy to miss if you haven’t looked it up beforehand. It shares the entrance with AdHoc hostel, though the hostel occupies a different part of the building. Its guests seemed younger, and there’s a small kitchen in that section that you can use. Kollman also has a little lobby where you can sit and wait. You’re right in the old town, along the river, where bars and restaurants get lively in the evening with locals and visitors out for a drink. The area is closed to vehicles, so from the nearest drop-off point, usually along Levstikov trg beside Mercator mart, it’s about a five-minute walk. Our room was spacious and clean, with a comfortable bed and a good-sized bathroom. We had a view of the river and Cobbler's Bridge on the other side. Thanks to the staff, especially Tarek, who were helpful and went out of their way for us. I’d recommend it if you want somewhere simple, quiet, charming, and homey.

Everything we needed was within walking distance, including supermarkets, museums, restaurants, and bars. These clean, quiet, spacious apartments are right in central Ljubljana, in the same building as AdHoc Hostel. I stayed there last December-January with my 3 year old daughter, and it felt like home to both of us. A big thumbs up to Miha and the whole team for the great service. It’s especially well suited to families with small children, and we found it great value with a great location. If they added breakfast, they could surely qualify as a 4* category hotel.

The room was nice and the location very good. The staff were really friendly, though there weren't many towels or much paper.
