Sleep&Go Hostel

The setup is really well thought out: comfortable capsules, showers with shelves for clothes, a little kitchen, and a high-table area that works for co-working. There’s an Asian canteen in the building and a Mercator mini-market across the street. It’s not right in the center, but bikes and scooters are nearby, and downtown is only about 5-10 minutes away. Entry is by code, though the admins replied quickly through the booking app and fixed my missing towel issue in five minutes. A couple of things need repair, like a flickering bathroom light and broken shower holders, but I had a positive stay and would definitely come back.

It was clean and the location was nice, but the atmosphere felt really uncomfortable. Mostly men were speaking loudly and catcalling, with nobody overseeing what was going on. It was unbelievably hot inside, and the air conditioning either wasn’t working or had been switched off. I asked for it to be turned on, but that didn’t happen.

It’s a good price and location, and staying here can be a nice chance to meet other travelers. The place was clean, too. But with so many people inside at once, the air needs to circulate better. The smell of everyone’s feet was really unpleasant. We tried to book on the spot and getting the entry pass took around two hours, so we waited at a nearby bar.

The capsules and bathrooms were clean, and the other guests were respectful even though the hostel was quite busy. My sister and I booked what we understood as a double dorm cabin, but it was a double bed capsule among the single bed ones, which felt a little misleading, though maybe I misunderstood the booking. It also got very hot overnight, so we had to open the curtain to get some air. The walk to and from the city center was manageable for us, despite taking about 40 minutes.
