Chateau Ramšak, vineyard glamping resort

The food at dinner was delicious, and breakfast was superb. We also had a fun, clearly explained wine tasting on the patio by the open fire. The staff were so friendly and went out of their way to look after us, even through rain and thunderstorms. We stayed two nights with our two teenagers and had an amazing time. Maribor and the surrounding hills are worth visiting, and this made a perfect few-day getaway and start to our trip around Slovenia. Thankfully, they weren’t affected by the flooding.

The tents are thoughtfully equipped, with a bathroom and a private outdoor spa that our family of three used a lot. The mini bar fridge was the best stocked I’ve ever seen. Each tent feels private, making it a lovely romantic getaway, while the glamping island and its big fireplace are there if you’d rather socialize and warm up by the fire. The grounds are beautiful, with willow trees, streams, ponds, and little bridges. Service was warm and friendly, and the team knew a lot about local wines. We did the tasting, served with individual cheese and grape platters, and the food throughout was delicious and beautifully presented. A really relaxing stay at this beautiful glamping resort close to Maribor. Thanks to the whole team.

We had a personal hot tub, which was very handy since we could use it whenever we wanted, and breakfast was included and made a good start to the day. Primoz and the rest of the staff were so friendly, I wish we’d had more time to chat. We visited in the off-season and were the only guests, which made the stay feel extra special. It’s amazing glamping close to Maribor. If you have a car, I’d recommend staying here instead of in the city.

We booked the tree house and got a wonderful view of the landscape. The glamping surroundings are amazing, and the very good to excellent service added extra comfort to the holiday. On the same estate, there’s an old vinery, Ramsak, with terrific wines. Maribor is fantastic too, and Slovenian people are so warm. The country is doing very well.
