The food was one of the best parts of my stay at The S Hotel in Montego Bay, Jamaica. RootsRock served traditional Jamaican dishes with lively flavors, while JamRock offered fine cuts of meat in a modest but elegant setting. The Market Place Buffet had a broad mix of local and international food. There were also Italian and French options, and the bar was a comfortable place to enjoy a nightcap. Each meal felt special, and I left feeling pampered and looking forward to the next one. Rock Steady was a lovely seafood restaurant, with expertly cooked dishes and live piano music that made the meal feel relaxed and refined. At Café 24, Derol brought real enthusiasm and skill to the coffee and pastries, making an ordinary stop feel memorable. And Tiffany, you’re amazing. The suite was spacious, well organized, and felt like a home away from home. The hotel is on the lively main strip beside the Caribbean Sea, yet offered a peaceful escape from the city. From the guarded entrance onward, the welcome made me feel safe and cared for. Taniel, a charming concierge who also works in security, greeted me with a cold mimosa and made me feel like family coming home. At the front desk, Zaria made check-in easy with her professionalism, bright smile, and clear explanation of the hotel layout and amenities. Early one morning, I went down to the lobby at 6:00 AM and David, the morning front desk agent, warmly pointed me toward a wonderful Jamaican Blue Mountain latte. The hospitality and attentive service made the stay feel special, and The S Hotel is a great place to make lasting memories in Jamaica.

Breakfast had very little variety, and the reception was open just four hours a day. They never answered the phone. The room was dirty, and the walls seemed paper-thin, so I could hear everything in the hallway as well as the elevator noises all the time. At €75 a night, I definitely wouldn’t stay here again.

The hotel is a little way from the city center, but you can walk to Maribor’s lively alleyway. It was quiet and peaceful throughout, even though students made up most of the residents, with guests staying now and then. I spent a month there, made good friends, and enjoyed the famous ice cream shop nearby. The staff were friendly, and cleanliness was good. The staff were okay in general, but Miha was a nice guy.

I stayed here as part of an Erasmus project. The room was okay, apart from the air conditioning leaking water. The staff weren’t the best, but nothing serious happened. There’s room for improvement.
