The rooms were nice, the food was very good, and the service impeccable. Orhidelia spa is easily the best one in the complex.

Breakfast and dinner were both very good, with a good range of dishes. The rooms and hotel were spotless, and the staff were so positive and kind that guests feel at ease. They’ve made good use of new technology, too. It’s a great setting for families, and one of the best hotels I’ve stayed in. I’ll definitely pick it again.

The hotel is in a lovely spot among the mountains, with hiking and biking routes and a few other attractions nearby. But the room and bathroom weren’t clean enough for the price, category, and image the hotel presents. The bathroom smelled strange, and the radiator for drying swimwear didn’t work. When we raised it, we were told it depended on the outside temperature, which was between 10 and 20 degrees Celsius. The receptionist also seemed to be steering guests into two groups because the hotel was busy. Although we had a small child, he offered us only one set of breakfast and dinner times, breakfast until 8 a.m. and dinner until 7:45 p.m. My wife was openly surprised, but he still didn’t mention another option. We eventually figured it out ourselves and switched to the other group. This wasn’t the kind of service we expected.

The pools and spa were a real highlight, with lots of options and thermal water. Everything was clean and well maintained. Even during the busy Easter holiday, when the hotel was full, the facilities never felt like a problem because guests were spread across them. The food was really good, with plenty of healthy choices, and the room was comfortable and tidy, though not very big. It could feel cramped with a child. A couple of practical things: the free parking is about 200 meters from the hotel, while the more convenient parking by the hotel costs extra. Sound insulation also isn’t great. On the first night, we could hear people talking loudly after midnight, seemingly right next to us, though we couldn’t tell which room it came from. We told the staff, and they dealt with it right away. It was quiet for the rest of our stay. In general, a good hotel with friendly, professional people.
