We’re searching for somewhere else to holiday now. There’s a noisy building site right outside the window, and even after it’s finished, the peace we used to have won’t be there. It used to be a lovely place, as the photo from our window two years ago shows. Greed has ruined it.

We had hoped to sleep in and enjoy the natural views, especially since vacation time is so limited. Instead, the construction site directly across from the apartments started waking us at 6 AM on weekdays with hammering, cutting, and shouting. It also made sitting on the balcony difficult for much of the day. That was a real shame when we’d booked a “penthouse” for our extended family. One apartment also had air conditioning trouble. At first it didn’t work at all because the outlet it was plugged into had no electricity, which didn’t seem like an unforeseeable problem. It was then “fixed” with a large black cable dragged through the middle of the apartment. At 10 PM, water started pouring from the unit. After all that, the only compensation offered was 50 euros and waiving the 25 euro fee for an IKEA basic-model high chair. I think the fair thing would have been to tell guests about the construction in advance, especially as Terme Olimia is doing the work. Rooms facing the site should have come with a steep discount.

A fantastic choice for families. The comfort, service, prices, surroundings, and food were all great.

The apartment was spacious and very clean, and breakfast was really good. The staff were friendly and professional, too. I liked how the hotel fits into the natural area and the whole Terme Olimia complex. The one disappointment was that we couldn’t get into Sauna world.
