I haven’t actually stayed at the hotel, but Miona, Lara, and their boss gave me outstanding help. I’d accidentally booked Hotel Kras instead of another place with a name differing by one letter. Within a few hours they’d helped me start sorting it out, even giving up some of their personal time. If they’re this helpful to someone who isn’t a guest, I can imagine they’d be great with hotel guests too. I hope I can visit soon in less stressful circumstances and see the town for myself. Hvala!

A little bit like Fawlty Towers. The staff were friendly, but I had to wait until 5pm to check in. Dinner was basic, though okay. I probably wouldn’t stay again.

We were a group of seven, and both rounds of drinks came in about five minutes. Alem seemed to be serving every table outside, and it was full, but he was friendly, quick, efficient, and spoke excellent English. The tables, floor, and glasses were clean, and the prices were very reasonable compared with the shocking ones around the cave area. The outdoor seating was lovely and relaxing, with music and greenery. We’d stopped at the town square, which has a nice park and quite a few restaurants and bars, and picked Hotel Kras for a drink after visiting Postojna Cave. It was a great choice, and Alem gave us amazing service. The only letdown was that the freezer wasn’t working, so there was no ice cream, and they don’t serve snacks like fries. I’d recommend stopping in if you’re in Postojna, and hope you get served by Alem 😊!

I spent six days here for a scientific conference. It’s a comfortable hotel in a central spot, with very nice rooms and excellent service from the staff. Breakfast is included. It’s adequate and fills the gap, and I’d stay here again.
