Farmhouse Štiftar

Katja was a wonderful host, with advice that really helped make our trip worthwhile. Stiftar has plenty to enjoy on a relaxing day, including table tennis, hammocks, a zip line, and more. Breakfast was homemade every day and delicious. Both the location and the service made this one of the best hotels I’ve stayed in.

The kids loved the charming playground by the river, with a little zip line and cute ducks. The Slovenian breakfast was fabulous, and our beds were comfortable and the rooms clean. The host and her family were thoughtful and friendly, gave us clear instructions, and shared tips for exploring the area with our family. We highly recommend it and will definitely be back!

Solčava is an adorable village, and the mountains around it are spectacular. Our apartment was just what we wanted: quiet, clean, and well stocked. We loved learning about the area from Katja and her family, and Katja gave us great ideas for hikes and other things to do. She and Ida were welcoming and kind hosts. We loved our stay at Stiftar farm and have nothing but good things to say. Highly recommend!

We were there for five nights over New Year’s Eve, staying in one of the rooms. The house and rooms had a cosy alpine feel, and everything was in great condition with plenty of amenities. Breakfast was generous, made to order, and featured local treats. The host was welcoming and shared helpful tips for exploring the region. There’s ample parking, and the small town centre, grocery store, and souvenir shops are a two-minute walk away. It’s a good base for hiking trails, with the surrounding valleys and many more hikes just a 10-minute drive away.
