Kmečka hiša Ojstrica

We stopped by on Sunday hoping for a quick bite outside. A table had a reservation sign for 13:00, but it was already 13:40, so we politely asked if we could sit there. No one gave us a clear answer. We then asked about sitting inside and were told, “no, no, you have to wait an hour or so,” with no explanation. Several tables were empty. It was a very disappointing visit, with terrible service, disorganized staff and no communication.

I haven't stayed in the rooms, but the restaurant is great. The hearty traditional Slovene food comes with a world-class view. In summer, sitting outside is hard to beat.

We loved our stay here. The host was awesome, the view was killer, and the food was amazing for great prices.

Barbara made us feel at home and helped us out so much. She was an incredible host. The pension is right in the center of the valley, with a huge terrace and garden looking out over it. It's a great base for hiking and climbing the surrounding mountains. There's also a campfire spot, though they only light it on weekends or for special events. Our room at Hisa Ojstrica was clean, cozy and charming, with comfortable beds, a good bathroom and plenty of space for our things. The food was a highlight. We had dinner both nights and everything was delicious, using local ingredients, with traditional dishes as well as plenty of comfort food. Breakfast was very good too, with lots of variety. We had an amazing stay, and I'm sure I'll come back to this pension when I return to the logar valley.
