Camp Gabrje

We enjoyed our spot near the river and had a lot of fun there. It was peaceful, not too busy, and great for looking at the stars. You can pick your own place, though we had to hunt a bit for an electricity hookup and needed an extension cord because it was far away. The shower building’s water wasn’t always warm. The restaurant was nice and reasonably priced, as was our stay. Reception staff were friendly. If you’re not expecting glamping, this is a great camping spot.

Beautiful scenery, friendly staff and warm showers. The water was freezing, though, and there’s a good range of activities. It was €17.50 per person with everything included, plus €4 for electricity, and the pitching area is free.

There’s plenty to do here, with tandem paragliding, rafting and kayaking, plus parataxi rides to the Kobala takeoff 2-3 times a day. Pets are welcome too. In June, July and August, book ahead so the camp doesn’t get overcrowded. The bar and buffet are good, and the staff are friendly and helpful. The restrooms are fine, although you may have to wait during the morning and evening rush. Some trees could use more time to grow, but you can find a shady tent spot if you look. It’s a great campsite by the Soča river.

The manager was very unfriendly. You need to treat people with respect, and your staff need to communicate better. Someone let us into the camp in the evening and told us we could pay in the morning. The night before, I arrived at midnight and there was nobody at the gate.
