The area is beautiful for biking and hiking, and there’s a lovely lake just a few minutes away by bike. I came for a few days of cycling and got one of the newly renovated rooms, which was beautiful. They said all the windows were new, so there was no street noise. The people who own this motel were very friendly, and I think it’s a family business. Breakfast was simple but good, with coffee and croissants. I don’t usually write reviews, but I had such a great stay at the Reich motel in velenje that I wanted to. I can only recommend it, and I’ll stay here again next time I’m back in Slovenia for biking. 👍👍

I’ve stayed here four times now. Since the new owners took over, the place has been developed really nicely over the past few years. The location and parking are perfect, and it’s good value for money. :)

The woman who runs the place was kind and nice. She doesn’t speak much English, but still managed to explain everything. Breakfast was plentiful, though some items were stale, including an expired yoghurt. The rooms seem stuck in the 80s and probably haven’t been cleaned in a while. For the price, it wasn’t good enough.
