A great base for a weekend in Bratislava, with good connections around the city. The staff were helpful, and Koko was lovely company in the evening. Highly recommend.

We arrived in the middle of the night after a long flight with a small child and couldn’t get into our room. There were no cards in the box, no receptionist, and no clear instructions. Staff admitted they’d booked our apartment incorrectly, but there was no refund. The beds were hard. The location was the only good part, and I won’t come back after such awful customer service and no offer to refund us for their mistake. The owner said we’d been given a better suited studio, which is not true. We got a room for two when there were three of us, with no extra bedding, duvet, or sheets. The service wasn’t what we’d paid for, and a refund is due. He’s covering his own back. Typical greedy customer service in Slovakia. Beware.

The cat was the best part, and the room was close to the concert venue we went to. We stayed in the RUM room for two nights, and it was okay for that long. The service was friendly and there was enough space for two, but the bathroom smelled a bit. The toilet lid kept falling onto our backs, haha, maybe it needs replacing. The sheets were clean, though the mattress wasn’t very comfortable and the couch was super dirty. Fine for a few nights, but I wouldn’t book it for a longer stay.

There’s a great pancake place right next Doors, Lacinka. The hotel is only a few minutes’ walk from the train station, which was really handy, and I appreciated the contactless check-in. The rooms were nice and each was named after a different branch of alcohol, but they definitely needed more cleaning.
