LOFT Hotel Bratislava

The location worked perfectly for the old town, about a nine-minute walk to Mestiansky Pivo, where we spent quite a bit of time. We felt safe throughout our visit. Fabrika the brew house is underneath the hotel, but we never heard a sound from it even though we were right above. Don't let that put you off, it's a bonus, and the food and drink there are great. We stayed five nights, and from check-in to check-out the experience was fabulous. Our first-floor double room was well situated, spotless each day, and had everything we needed. The towels could have been a little bigger for me, though they were fine for my wife. The free mini bar was replenished daily, and we brought milk up from breakfast to make tea in larger cups. Breakfast and restaurant food were excellent and reasonably priced. The staff were helpful, polite, friendly, and spoke good English, which made things easier for us. It was reassuring to see the chef checking everything at breakfast. We'd return in a heartbeat and highly recommend the hotel.

Request a room away from the elevators if you stay here. We were put right next to the elevator shaft, and the mechanical noise every time it moved made it impossible to sleep. Those rooms are much louder than the others, and I think they should be offered at a discount, or half price, to account for the disturbance. That's the main reason I gave the stay three stars. When I raised the noise with reception, I was disappointed by the response. There was no apology or empathy, just a comment that the hotel was full. I'd strongly suggest asking for a room well away from the elevators so you can sleep.

Breakfast was a real highlight: a varied buffet with fresh fruit, local dishes, good coffee, and lots of tasty choices, all nicely presented. The staff were attentive and friendly, always ready to help with a smile. The LOFT Hotel Bratislava has a distinctive boutique feel, with thoughtfully chosen furniture and lighting, lovely design, and a cozy atmosphere that made us feel at home. Our room was very comfortable. The hotel is a short walk from the city center, yet the area around it is peaceful and quiet when you want to relax after exploring. A great combination of style and comfort, and highly recommended for a special stay in Bratislava.

The rooms were clean and cozy, and you can walk to everything you'd want to see in Bratislava. I booked through booking.com but forgot to include breakfast. Paying 20€/pp at the hotel felt a bit pricey.
