A bright streetlight right beside our window kept the room almost as bright as day all night. Better blackout curtains would fix that. The other room in the apartment was fine. It was super handy for watching the football game, and waking up in the middle of a full-on sporting event became one of the highlights of our trip.

The bedding was very good, as were the bathroom products, and the place was clean with the basic amenities we needed. Most things were good quality. But in our three-night stay, nobody came to clean the room even once, and that cost them a star for me. Maybe that’s just how they do it. The receptionist we met didn’t seem to know English, though I’m guessing since we couldn’t understand what she said.

We arrived late, and the staff member in glasses was friendly and bubbly. It’s a great place to stop for food and drinks. If you’re not from Slovakia, it’s worth asking the staff for recommendations. German is fine.

From inside the restaurant you can see a soccer pitch, and the place itself is clean, modern, and pleasant. The food is regular fare, with a few raw vegan cakes and vegetarian dishes too. It’s easy to park somewhere nearby. The place is tucked among old communist buildings.
