Tatraline

We stayed for two nights while skiing. The room was clean, comfortable and quite spacious, with room to store our clothes. There’s free parking and a ground-floor room for skis and snowboards. They also have a bar upstairs, where we had some fine cocktails. It was perfect, highly recommend.

We spent five days here for a ski trip, and probably wouldn’t return unless the restaurant or bar reopens. Both are permanently closed, so there’s no breakfast on site or much to do in the evenings. We couldn’t find this information anywhere, especially on the website, and there was no apology or discount for the inconvenience. There’s no shared space for spending evenings as a group, and no daily cleaning. The beds kept sliding apart since it was two separate beds rather than a king bed. There’s only a small bathroom heater, so little room to dry clothes after skiing. There are some good points: the rooms are newly furnished, with a kettle and tea, and parking is easy. There’s a separate room for boards and boots, a nice Italian restaurant and a 24/7 gas station in the same area. The price was good, and two connected rooms had a pair of lockable doors between them, which worked well for couples or families. There’s no wellness.

The rooms were cosy, and there are lovely views from every side of the hotel. The ski boots and skis have a drying room. Best of all, there’s a bar on the top floor, nicely furnished, with views in three directions and reasonably priced drinks.

The staff were friendly and easy to talk to, and the bartender was lovely and made really tasty drinks at the reasonably priced upstairs bar. Rooms were clean, and there’s free parking, a ski room, and a balcony where you can smoke. Sometimes there’s a bad smell outside, though that isn’t the motel’s fault.
