We used one of the two apartment rooms. It was quite spacious, with a separate bedroom and a large main room with a big sofa that could also be used for sleeping. The bathroom could have been bigger. The hotel’s in the centre of Donovaly, a good starting point for trips around the region. It’s a nice, not-too-big hotel with a restaurant where we enjoyed three dinners. Breakfast was okay, though the buffet could have offered a bit more. In the evening, we also enjoyed the wellness area, with four different saunas and a jacuzzi in a nice atmosphere.

For the price of a luxury hotel, this is one for someone seeking a 2* experience. The rooms need renovation, the bathroom smells of mold, and the room doors slam terribly loudly. Breakfast was the weakest we’ve ever had. The location is very bad, by another hotel’s construction site and a large car park, with no view from the room window. The wellness area is a mockery. The towels and linen were clean. Staff were a mixed bag: some kind and accommodating, others unpleasant and arrogant. In short, a weak 3* hotel.

I only went in for dinner and didn’t stay at the hotel. The servers were really polite and helpful, and the food was great with lots to choose from. Prices were really cheap for that kind of service and place. I’d recommend eating here if you’re in the Donovaly area.

The hotel was clean, but what a disappointment. We paid extra for a 4* hotel, and it turned out worse than a 2*. The bedroom was okay, though it looked spacious because it was an apartment and the other rooms are much smaller. The best fixtures were the bar, the drink selection, and the cigar room. All the bathrooms had baths, no showers, and only the receptionist spoke English. Breakfast was very poor, with no sweets except a glass with some Nutella. We were disappointed and I wouldn’t recommend staying here. Save your money and go somewhere else. Also, children under 7 CANNOT use the pool, which we only found out at check-in. As for the restaurant, in 2021, in a tourist area, there wasn’t a single menu in English. The food was poor quality. My schnitzel was terrible, fatty meat and very thin. Nobody enjoyed their meal, though I can only describe mine. The only decent thing was the espresso. I wouldn’t come back.
