The lunch was the highlight: really tasty, made with high quality ingredients, and after our traditional dishes they brought coffee with a delicious homemade vegan dessert. We’d booked a table because my parents had stayed here a few months earlier and loved it. We were welcomed warmly and the service was impeccable. If you want comfortable family-run accommodation and good food, this is the place.

We spent our week of volunteer work here after our organization had initially mixed things up. The Janus family still managed to find us rooms at the last minute, which was so kind of them. They were lovely hosts, and the accommodation is right in the center. We had two nights in the Suite and two in the comfort room. Both were clean and comfortable, but the Suite stood out for its antiques, style, and generous space. Definitely would come back, 10/10.

After a long day hiking with my daughter, we were exhausted, but had a really restful night in a superb room and enjoyed regional food. It’s a historic building downtown, with a pleasant atmosphere and a personal, guest-focused touch from this small family hotel. The staff were friendly too.

We’d found the restaurant in the Lonely Planet guidebook and stopped by for dinner. It was pretty late, and at first the place looked dark and shut, but the family was still there and welcomed us in warmly. The homemade meal was delicious. For dessert, we especially loved the chocolate "cake of the day." Some pictures of the house specialties on the menu also made it easier to communicate.

The owners are so kind and really try to make your stay comfortable. Our room was clean, and the homemade food was delicious. Such a lovely atmosphere here. We had a very good stay and will definitely come back. Thank you Janus!
