Penzion Troja

The lemon cheesecake and coffee were the best part of the meal, and the fried cheese with fries was satisfactory. The Hermelin with cranberry sauce, though, arrived cold. We also ordered steak salmon and grilled vegetables with family for lunch this Friday. The waiter didn't know what vegetables were available when we asked, then came back with the answer. The vegetables were mushy and overcooked. The salmon was okay, and I know fresh salmon can be hard to get. After leaving, I felt fine, but that night I became very sick and vomited all night. I hadn't eaten anything else that day, so I knew it was food poisoning from the restaurant. The food's quality and overall taste didn't match the price, and the service felt unprofessional with three waiters serving us. I paid 50 euro plus a 5 euro tip, and got mediocre food and food poisoning in return. I don't think the restaurant is bad, but these particular dishes don't represent it well. Stick with the regular menu items and you'll be fine.

The room wasn't fully clean, and a thin door between our room and the next one meant we could hear everything the neighbors did. The corridor was also very loud because of the bowling lanes, and we couldn't open two of the three windows. There are bowling lanes in the hotel, and wellness facilities are available. The dishes were tasty.

Everything else was fine, but they couldn't offer the dishes on the menu. Instead, we were given a different menu with very few options.

The staff were great and nothing seemed too much trouble while they were on site. The room, and really the whole hotel, was very clean. I liked my stay, though the bed was a bit hard for me.
