Chateau GrandCastle

The castle's transformation into a charming hotel was memorable, especially since the owner bought it in ruins and preserved it. Dinner and breakfast were good, and the staff and waiters were particularly welcoming and pleasant. I definitely recommend staying here.

The wellness area is excellent, and the castle itself is beautiful. Some parts are lovely too, including the rooms and the hotel's floors and staircase. The waiter was friendly and gave good service. Such a shame, because the place has so much potential. Breakfast felt like something from a two-star restaurant in France in the 1990s, not a four-star hotel. Drinks were poor, though the food was acceptable. There isn't a comfortable place to sit anywhere, and no lounge area. The corridors and the space outside the bar are cold, while the bar is dingy, with awful music and uncomfortable chairs. It all needs a facelift. Not having a shower in 2022… The hotel seems to rely on being a castle. It wasn't worth the money, and I was disappointed. It could be a gem.

A wonderful castle feel, a great restaurant and wellness area, and a big, well-kept garden make this the best hotel I've stayed at in Slovakia. There's parking, and I'd recommend the weekend packages.

The public spaces and surroundings are really nice, and the waiters were prompt and professional. Still, the bathrooms and appliances need a facelift, and we weren't entirely pleased with the cleanliness. Breakfast cost 10€/pp and felt right for a 2-star hotel, not a 4-star one. After that, we decided against trying dinner. I came away with mixed feelings.
