We had such a clean, well-kept place to stay, and there wasn’t a weak point in our visit. The food was a surprise: so many choices, generous servings, delicious healthy local dishes, and excellent quality. We hadn’t expected that kind of food at a family-friendly resort. The staff were always friendly and ready to help, and nothing we asked for felt like a nuisance. There’s plenty for kids outdoors, including a playground, volleyball court, ping-pong, trampoline, and BBQ area. Indoors, there’s a modern pool that guests can use for free, plus a sauna for an extra charge. Jasná ski resort and Demanovské jeskyně are both less than a 10-minute trip away, and there’s a ski bus in winter if you want one. We’ll definitely tell others about this place and recommend it.

The mountain views are breathtaking, and the whole place has a great mountain feel. It’s a guesthouse with hotel-quality standards, tasty breakfasts, and a pool with a spa area. Prices aren’t high, either. Well worth a visit if you’re heading out walking in the Small Tatra Mountains.

We’ve been coming here with friends since 2015 and enjoy every visit. It’s well located, clean and cozy, with really tasty food and friendly staff. There’s also lots for kids to do. A great base for enjoying the Chopok area.

We loved this family holiday spot in the Slovak mountains. The rooms were big, beautiful, and clean, and the location was great. The garden has a playground and trampoline, and there’s also a pool and a mini zoo. The food was delicious, and the staff were especially lovely. I recommend it with all my heart.

We chose Penzion Maria because we wanted a homelike stay with our little one. There’s so much to do that you can’t get bored, and the place is really well equipped. Chef Martin and the whole pension staff were incredibly helpful and made us feel welcome and at home.
