Miraj Resort

The hotel is large and sits outside town. It was almost empty when I visited with my partner. We enjoyed our stay, and the staff were nice, though we've had better service elsewhere. The spa area is large, but you have to pay extra for it. Breakfast is buffet style and reasonably priced at 10€.

Our family spent six days at the resort and had a wonderful time. The staff were very friendly, and each area had someone who spoke English. They were attentive and kind to our kids, going out of their way to make them feel special. Our room was spacious, with a gorgeous view over fields and mountains. We had fun at the different pools, especially the indoor one, which the family loved for its thermal water. After dinner, we often enjoyed the jacuzzis, sauna, and indoor spa pool. We'd definitely come back for another relaxing stay.

I expected a peaceful stay with my wife, but it was a horrible experience. The place was very loud, and the floors in the room were really dirty. Apparently you can't order food from outside. When I went downstairs to pick up the food I'd ordered online, the owner started yelling at and harassing me without warning. He said I had to eat only food from their restaurant. Their menu charged 8€ for a frozen pizza, so I'd ordered a cheaper one of better quality online. The owner kept yelling, spitting, and pointing at my face. He was speaking Slovakian, so I couldn't understand a word. I didn't enjoy my stay and wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.

The shower was great, with a large head, strong pressure, hot water right away, and even a thermostatic mixer. The room itself was clean and cosy, and the bed was the best I've had in a Slovak hotel. The place is new. My only complaint was that I couldn't close the shower door, so water flooded the bathroom and I had to mop it up with towels.
