Penzión Salamander

Martin and his crew were kind throughout our ten days in the Dedinky region. Martin went out of his way to help us, which made the stay really pleasant. Hotel Salamander has a lovely dining hall, plenty of space for groups, a big garden and terrace, and comfortable balconies with spectacular views of the surrounding hills. The breakfast buffet was varied and abundant, and dinner was very tasty. The beds were good too, which matters when you’re exploring the Slovakian paradise. There’s plenty to do nearby: swim or kayak in the lake, relax by the water, or take short and longer hikes in the nearby valleys. We’d recommend both the hotel and the region. We booked the guesthouse for a family reunion, and the owners helped us with everything. There was plenty of delicious food. We can only recommend it.

The location is great, near the lake and hiking trails, and the staff were extremely friendly. We had a cozy room with a balcony, and they’d prepared a baby cot for our little daughter. Breakfast and dinner were both delicious. A very nice place in the Slovak paradise, and we’d recommend it.

We came to Salamander for two nights of hiking and wanted a solid, affordable place to stay. It went beyond what I expected. The owner and staff were especially nice, and he helped us find several hiking routes and suggested renting a small boat on Masa lake. He also offers mountain bike rentals for free. For me, service and the way people treat you matter most, and that was more than excellent here. The room and facilities aren’t fancy, but they’re clean and comfortable. The hotel restaurant’s breakfast and dinner were fresh and tasty. We had a huge balcony with chairs and a view of the meadow and forest. There’s billiards and table tennis to play as well.
