The hotel is quiet and very clean, and the staff are excellent. I think you'll be very happy staying here if you're visiting Modra or spending time in the area. I'd definitely come back.

We tried the soups at dinner, and you should too! Dinner was really nice, with traditional Slovak dishes alongside other options. Breakfast was fresh, good quality, and had lots of variety. The place is right where things happen in Modra, yet tucked just around the corner and wonderfully quiet. Parking out front was safe and free.

The restaurant didn't impress me. I ordered chicken and potatoes, but the potatoes were cold and the chicken barely warm. When I told the waitress, she took the plate away and brought it back two minutes later. It looked microwaved: one potato was hot, the rest lukewarm, and the chicken only slightly warmer, dry, and tough. My coffee never came, even though I'd ordered it with the meal. I noticed other diners leaving lots of food behind. No one apologized or said anything when the plate came back. I expected at least a fresh serving of properly hot potatoes. There was also a cigarette smoke smell coming from the kitchen.

The staff were very helpful, and both the food and hotel were good. It’s right in the town centre, so the church bells may wake you in the morning. Parking is free inside or outside the hotel. They care so much about style that there are separate hot and cold taps instead of regular mixer taps.
