Grand Hotel Sole (ex. Hotel Golden Hoffer & Best Western Hotel Dituria)

The central location worked well, and the breakfast was tasty. The room had enough space for two, with a decent sized shower, and there’s a restaurant and terrace at the hotel. Everything was clean, the interior and room looked good, and we had no problems during our stay. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality. A few things could be better: checkout is at 10 a.m. instead of noon, there’s no shelf in the shower for toiletries, and the beds felt firm, though still acceptable. The receptionist could smile a bit more too.

The room was huge, with big wardrobes and a comfortable bed, and we got lovely morning sun on the east side. It was clean and surprisingly quiet on Saturday night, maybe because we were on the third floor despite the central location. Breakfast was a 10/7, actually perfect for the price. Please don’t trim the sausage ends like that, they get so dry they’re inedible. I also didn’t like getting a call at 10:05 telling us to leave immediately when checkout was at 10. We were already about to go, and 80% of the rooms seemed empty.

Breakfast was very good, with eggs in different styles and vegetables every day. The hotel also has a very good Vietnamese restaurant. Staff were friendly, beds comfortable, rooms clean, and the air conditioning worked well. There are a few parking spaces right outside, and restaurants and bars are nearby. The shower equipment had some small issues, and the shower itself could be more modern. Still, a very good place to stay.

The breakfast was good and the staff very friendly. My room, 205, was really spacious, though its flimsy curtains didn’t cover the whole window or block the light. The building looks old from outside, with contemporary public areas but old-fashioned rooms. Parking is limited to two spaces, so otherwise you have to take your chances finding a paid spot on the road.
