Penzion Premona

A nice place at a low price.

There were no mosquito screens on the windows, so when we opened one in the evening to get some air, every insect in Nitra seemed to come inside. The room we received also had neither the balcony nor the air conditioning we’d booked. The woman at check-in spoke only Slovak, which made it hard to explain the problem. After an hour of trying, they gave us a fan humidifier they call a “portable air conditioner”)).

We were allowed to check out after ten even though the stated time was 9:30, and nobody rushed us out. It’s also possible to arrange a later check-in. There’s free parking in the internal, but not enclosed, area, and the bus station is just a few minutes’ walk away. For a two-star guesthouse, the rooms were decently equipped, furnished, and clean.

We only needed a place for one night in Nitra, and this guesthouse worked very well. It’s close to the train station and not far from the bus station. The older building has no elevator, which might bother some people, though it didn’t matter to us. Our room had a double bed, wardrobe, table and chairs, fridge, TV, and Wi-Fi. Everything was clean, fresh, and ready for us, and the lady at reception was nice and easy to communicate with. The service was great, and I can only recommend it.
