Penzión Škorpión

The room was tiny, about 3.5 m2, and extremely dark. There was no wardrobe or bedside table, just one very dim 20-watt bulb above the door, enough to make sure you were walking toward the bed. With four dark walls, a dark ceiling, dark carpet, and a small window, you couldn't even read a book unless you brought your own light. It was only somewhere to sleep, with no TV or radio. For 26 euros a night it was cheap, but the shared bathroom and toilet served eight rooms. I could barely see my phone screen, so I can't say whether the room was clean. Visitors weren't allowed, so I couldn't show my friend what I'd sewn for the children. The owners had terrible manners. The shower had no hose. The service lady was nice until I asked what could be done about the lighting.

Clean, cozy, and good value if all you need is somewhere to get your head down. There's a bar and food, the bed was fine, and the staff were happy. Go for it.

There are big flat-screen TVs on every wall. If you like a noisy place that's still nice, this is for you.
